Drag Story Hour Arizona was started in 2019 by a small group of people who wanted to see more inclusive literacy programing in their communities. We are passionate about education and validation, and welcome you to join us at our next event to learn more about what we do!
MISSION
Drag Story Hour-Arizona's mission is to bring inclusive story times to the children of Arizona and their grown-ups. Drag Storytellers inspire children to be themselves through books, songs, and artistic expression.
Drag Story Hour captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models.
In spaces like this, kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where everyone can be their authentic selves!
